One thing we believe is important in raising a family and friendly puppy is to bring it up right with socialization. We have enrolled our puppy, Belle, into puppy classes! As one might guess, she is the largest and probably the laziest of the group of ten! We drive an hour to attend our weekly class for 6 weeks. It is very family friendly. Most families come with everyone that will have an impact on raising the puppy. It is very informative and highly recommended! Our children enjoy learning the commands needed to help her be successful. We look forward to our next class!

This is why we love raising our family here! It is so beautiful! Our St. Bernards enjoy long walks on the shores of Lake Michigan and taking nice cool dips in the flowing waves. We are so blessed!
Kaleva has a wonderful, small family friendly festival each year in the middle of July. For the past few years, they have had a pet parade that takes place around the park. This year we took Lake Michigan's Belle SS to participate. It is all about exposure to make sure is a well rounded dog that enjoys going places and meeting new people. She enjoyed the time out with her kids. She does tend to be a little lazy and try to take a nap on long walks... this is an area we need to work on: motivation! Lake Michigan's Belle SS made her first appearance on stage during the Manistee Forest Festival Pet Pageant. She was handled by Kendelyne. Puddles, the cockapoo, joined Knox. Puddles was proud to be out strutting his stuff in front of the crowd. Belle made eyes turn with her wonderful size at just 10 weeks of age. She truly is our gentle giant! We look forward to her future with our family. Happy 4th of July from our family to yours!
